Fellowship Essay

The fellowship essay is an opportunity for you to share your thoughts about global faith leadership and help the Trinity-Union Fellowship Selection Committee understand your leadership goals for the future. While your admission application to the UTS Master of Sacred Theology program will tell some of this story, the fellowship essay will help Union understand your vision for faith leadership.  We encourage you to think broadly and creatively about how the Trinity-Union Fellowship program will inform your development as a global faith leader. This essay is an opportunity for you to share important ideas and experiences.  We greatly anticipate learning more about how you would like to make an impact in the future.

We would also like to remind you that you, the applicant, must write the essay. Your essay must be in your voice and accurately represent you, your ideas, and your experiences. At the same rate, you are welcome to set up a meeting with a mentor, advisor, professor, or colleague and go over your essays with them.  The strongest responses are well written, well structured, and keep close to the word limit.

To complete your application, please upload a PDF document with your response to the following essay question:

How will the opportunity to learn more about global faith leadership as a Trinity Union Fellow and future Union graduate influence your work going forward? The maximum length for this essay is approximately 300 words.
